Meet Michael Schmidt, Westfield Township Trustee

My position:

Currently I am serving my third consecutive 4-year term as Trustee. Previously, I served on the Township’s Board of Zoning Appeals for 27 years.

Any and all township issues you may have. With my vast experience in zoning and planning, I can guide residents through many hurdles they may encounter. My schedule varies daily, so I am quite accessible if the need arises.

Why I got involved with Westfield Township:

I have always enjoyed actively serving my community in various roles, such as Westfield Baseball and Softball Associations, Westfield Soccer Association, Rotary, United Way, Feeding Medina County, Medina Creative Housing, Rebuilding Together, Leadership Medina County, Akron Children’s Hospital, Chamber of Commerce, Medina Board of REALTORS, Cloverleaf School Board (16 years) and various other Task Forces and Boards. I can’t say “no.”

My certifications:

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree. I’m also a licensed Real Estate Agent and Certified EMT.

What I’m passionate about:

My trust in Jesus, my family and careers as a Township Trustee, real estate agent and log home dealership. I am very loyal and willing to help people out in any way I can.

Fun fact:

Played in a rock band for 10 years. I also invented the snowboard (but didn’t know what I had!).
